Who is Mira?
The humanoid entity known as Mira resides in northern Sweden, where she is a student of Linguistics & Library and Information Science at Umeå University. She likes for instance comics (doh! ;) ), games, visual media, both from a consumer and creative point of view and cognitive science. She also is very much fond of the colour dark-blue and zebras. Should you want to see other sites/pages created by Mira please have a look here.
How did Mira get hooked on ElfQuest?
Mira's ElfQuest fandom/obssession started about 9 years ago, when her best friend Briseis showed her the wonderful Graphic Novels of ElfQuest that she had, namely the first edition of the Father Tree Press publications. These enchanting creatures with their beautiful pointy ears immediately appealed to her, and gave her with plenty of inspiration to start drawing elves on her own.. and for her own elfine incarnation, Mirr, to appear!
Hmm, the header image of this site looks familiar, did Mira draw it?
Yepp. It is a downscaled and slightly modified version of Mira's submission to the 2006 ElfQuest Fan Art Calendar. The theme was "ElfQuest Through the Ages" and I based my drawing on the Cherubs that can be seen in the painting The Sistine Madonna by Raphael, and I drew Preservers in their stead, thus I titled it "The Cherishers".
How to contact Mira?
If you want to contact me.. for instance if you have a link/info for me to add/update, or if you have scans of covers I am looking for.. then please email me at: miraculousm (at) gmail (dot) com
And yes, that (at) = @ and (dot) = . but one never knows about spambots searching the net these days...why I'm careful when typing out my emailaddress. Also, don't forget an informative subject line so I'll know for certain it's not spammail, and a nickname etc if you want me to add your name to the "Acknowledgements!" page when contributing to this page :)
Thanks for stopping by, Shade & Sweet Water!
